Partitions

Dividing a property among several owners, with their drawings.

What it is

Dividing a property owned by several people into portions, one for each. The whole plot is measured, split according to the agreement — by area, by value, or however they decided — and each portion comes out with its own drawing and description so it can be deeded separately.

Timing and coverage

How long it takes depends on the size of the land, the access and the vegetation: an urban lot is not the same as a hillside farm. I tell you when you ask, along with the price, before you commit to anything. I work in El Salvador.

When you need it

  • The owner died and the heirs are dividing the land
  • Several siblings own it jointly and want to separate
  • A partnership is dissolving and the property must be divided
  • Several people bought together and now each wants their own

What you get

  • The drawing in DWG and PDF, ready to print or to file
  • The calculation record with the bearing, distance and coordinate table
  • The area in square metres and in square varas
  • A drawing and a technical description for each portion
  • The overall plan, with all the portions and how they fit

What I need from you to start

  • The deed of the property
  • How many portions and on what basis they are divided
  • That the owners agree before measuring: changing the split afterwards means starting over

Shall we talk?

Tell me what you have and what you need. If I cannot solve it, I will say so.
