What it is
The relief of the terrain and what it costs to move it. The surface is surveyed with its heights, the contour lines come out, and from there the cut and fill volumes are calculated to leave it as the project needs.
Timing and coverage
How long it takes depends on the size of the land, the access and the vegetation: an urban lot is not the same as a hillside farm. I tell you when you ask, along with the price, before you commit to anything. I work in El Salvador.
When you need it
- You are going to build and need to know how much earthwork there is
- You want to budget cut and fill before starting
- A longitudinal profile of a road or street is needed
- The designer asks for the surface with contour lines
What you get
- The drawing in DWG and PDF, ready to print or to file
- The calculation record with the bearing, distance and coordinate table
- The area in square metres and in square varas
- The contour lines, at whatever interval you need
- Longitudinal profiles and cross sections
- The cut and fill volume calculation
What I need from you to start
- What is going to be built: that decides the survey detail
- The level you want the ground left at, if already defined
- Access to the land, and whether there is dense vegetation
