What it is
The land is measured on the ground and its real area and perimeter are calculated, with the bearing and distance of every boundary. It is the job most others start from: without knowing what is there, nothing can be split, divided or registered.
Timing and coverage
How long it takes depends on the size of the land, the access and the vegetation: an urban lot is not the same as a hillside farm. I tell you when you ask, along with the price, before you commit to anything. I work in El Salvador.
When you need it
- You are buying and want to know if it measures what the seller says
- You are selling and need the exact area for the price
- The deed states an area that does not match what you see
- You want to fence it and do not know where the boundary runs
What you get
- The drawing in DWG and PDF, ready to print or to file
- The calculation record with the bearing, distance and coordinate table
- The area in square metres and in square varas
- The point file and the KML, to see it over the map
What I need from you to start
- Where the land is: department, municipality and canton
- The deed or an earlier drawing, if you have them
- Access to the land, and ideally someone to point out the markers
