Website privacy policy

What topoman.net does when you visit it. In short: visits are counted without cookies and without knowing who you are, there are no trackers, and something of yours is kept only if you buy a subscription: your email, and what you type when paying.

Who is responsible

Ronald Miguel Mancía, land surveyor, El Salvador. For any question about this policy write to [email protected].

What this site does NOT do

  • No analytics cookies, and nothing that identifies you or follows you from one page to the next.
  • No advertising, no third-party trackers.
  • No form other than the subscription purchase, and that one only asks for an email.
  • No accounts, no sign-up.
  • Nothing is sold or shared with anyone. There is no data to sell.

The only things stored in your browser

Two, both so the site behaves the way you asked, and neither can identify you:

  • An "idioma" cookie, written only if you press the language switch. It lasts a year and means you arrive in the language you chose.
  • A "tema" value in local storage, if you switch between light and dark.

If you buy a subscription

The subscription is paid on the page of n1co, the payment gateway, which the button on the pricing page takes you to. n1co asks for your phone (to send you a code over WhatsApp), your name, your email and the card, under its own privacy policy. We never see or store your card details.

With each charge n1co notifies us, and from that notice we keep the email, name and phone you typed there, the amount and the bank authorization number, as proof of payment.

The email is your account: you will activate the program with it, and every time you link a device a code arrives there. The account also keeps the plan, the number of devices and how long it is paid for. If you subscribe by writing to me, the only thing of yours kept is the email you give me.

What the server sees

The site is hosted on Cloudflare. Like any web server, in order to deliver the page and defend itself it processes connection data, including your IP address. Cloudflare does that under its own policy, and no report of who visits reaches me.

The installers are downloaded from descargas.topoman.net, which is storage from the same provider and works the same way.

When you leave the site

The WhatsApp buttons, the Microsoft Store link and the one to the web version of the program take you to third-party services, each with its own policy. Pressing one is your decision, and from there that service governs.

If you write to me on WhatsApp or by email, your message and your number or address stay where any conversation stays: in that service and in my inbox. I use them to answer you and for the work you ask for, and for nothing else.

Visits, counted without knowing who you are

Since 28 September 2026 the site counts its visits, with its own counter and not a third party's. When a page opens, it sends which page it is and the domain of the site you came from —for example "google.com"—, and when you press a download, WhatsApp, email, the store or the web version, which one.

The server only adds up. Per day it keeps the page, that domain, the country inferred from the connection and your device's system —Windows, Android…—, and how many times that combination repeats. It does not keep your IP address, the time, your browser, or anything that links two of your pages together, and it writes nothing to your browser. The counts delete themselves after a little over a year.

If your browser has "Do Not Track" or Global Privacy Control (GPC) turned on, nothing is counted.

Changes

If the site changes what it does, this page is updated with the date above. The history stays in the project repository.
