TopoMan CAD terms of use

End user licence agreement. Please read these terms before installing or using TopoMan CAD. By installing, opening or using it, you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not install or use it. The Spanish version of these terms is the governing one; this translation is provided for convenience.

1. Ownership

TopoMan CAD (the "Program"), its code, design, texts, icons and documentation are the property of Ronald Miguel Mancia (the "Author") and are protected by the intellectual property law of El Salvador and by international copyright treaties. The Program is licensed, not sold. The Author keeps every right these terms do not expressly grant to you.

2. What you may do

a)Without a licence, use the Program in demo mode, which lets you try all of it but not save, plot, print or export your work.
b)With a licence, use it on the devices that licence names, for the time and with the scope it states.
c)Make the installation copies you need for that use.

Everything you draw, measure or compute with the Program is yours.

3. What you may not do

Except to the extent the applicable law expressly permits it notwithstanding this prohibition, you may not, and may not allow anyone else to:

a)Decompile, disassemble, reverse engineer or otherwise attempt to obtain the source code of the Program or how its licensing system works.
b)Modify, patch or alter the Program, or circumvent, disable or interfere with its licensing system or any technical measure protecting it.
c)Create, distribute, offer or use licences, keys, patches, loaders or altered versions of the Program not issued by the Author.
d)Copy, distribute, sell, rent, lend, sublicense or make the Program available to third parties, except through the Author's official download channels.
e)Use the Program, or knowledge of its inner workings, to develop a product that competes with it.
f)Remove or hide the Program's copyright notices.

4. Third-party components

The Program includes open-source components, each under its own licence (among others, MIT, Apache 2.0 and Mozilla Public License 2.0). Those licences apply to those components and nothing in these terms limits them. The source code of the Mozilla Public License 2.0 files the Author has modified is provided to anyone who requests it through the contact details at topoman.net.

5. Connections and device data

To check and renew a licence, the Program computes a device identifier and, for subscriptions, communicates with the Author's servers. When you ask for it, it also downloads satellite imagery and maps from third-party services, subject to those services' terms.

6. Termination

The licence ends automatically, without notice and without refund, if you breach these terms. The Author reserves the civil and criminal actions the law grants against unauthorised use, copying or alteration of the Program.

7. Warranty

The Program is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the extent the law allows. The computations, drawings, areas, volumes and technical descriptions it produces must be reviewed by a responsible professional before being submitted or relied upon.

8. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, the Author is not liable for indirect damages, loss of profit or loss of data, and the Author's total liability will not exceed what you paid for the Program in the twelve months before the event giving rise to it.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of El Salvador, and any dispute will be submitted to the competent courts of El Salvador.
